Solace Luna Next Gen

Here is my Luna next gen, Solace. I'm very happy with this tbh <33

Luna never found love with anyone. Scared she would hurt them, or that the Nightmare would come back, and fearing no one could never truly understand her, she decided to never marry. However, After Tirek had destroyed Ponyville (and several other surrounding villages) there was a rather large increase in orphans. When Luna went to help rebuild the villages, she found a small foal who was just born. Orphaned, she felt an instant connection, and decided she was going to look after them. Originally claiming the foal to be a student, after a while became very attached, finding solace in her- hence where the name comes from.

Solace is very much just like his mother. Quite, wise, and somewhat intimidating. Solace had a hard time not being able to fit in with his mothers work, seeing as how most of it came with magic. Instead, he liked to fly in Lunas night, and found that the meteor shower patterns were off, so he replotted them and guided them across the sky and made sure none would hit the earth below. He unties his hair and lets it gleam in the starlight, making himself look like a meteor as well.
When Solace was a foal, he began to change. Feeling like something was missing. He didn't understand it himself, until he decided that he might try wearing stallion clothes and doing things that were really only for stallions. He eventually started identifying as a male, and found out that that was what he was meant to do all along. Luna of course had no problem with this, but Solace still has some anxiety when it comes to finding people to be close with- a primal instinct for him considering there was some fundamental development missing from not knowing his birth parents.
Solace is good friends with Lunas student- Wishing Star- one of the very few he confides in and trusts. He knows Soleil and Heart Piece, but is not as closely attached.
Nowadays, Solace still likes to fly and just be in the air. Reading books, shrouding himself in darkness is a favorite too, and of course horrifying foals that stray too far from the paths on Nightmare Night, he has a silliness to his sincerity at times, and can be quite cheesy. Sometimes having trouble displaying his emotions, he'll get flustered and blush and just kinda get silent and walk away.
